ABOUT - Glimmer is a proper party bag. It is festive statement and perfect for the Christmas period. Glimmer is all about looking for those pockets of excitement, the spark of hope and tinkle of joy.
To make your Glimmer bag, start by cutting out the mesh, crocheting the twinkle lining and then crocheting tinsel outer material. The mesh is then formed into the bag shape, the twinkle lining and tinsel sewn into place. The zip and D-rings are then attached. Clip on the bag strap and, tadahhhh, you have a party bag!
MEASUREMENTS - Finished bag size:
- Width 8" / 20cm
- Height 6" / 15cm
- Diameter 3" / 7.5cm
The tinsel yarn adds to the overall bulk a bit like a fluffy coat!
YARN -
- For the lining I used 75g twinkle/glitter/sparkle DK yarn.
- For the outer material I used 100g Tinsel yarn in Chunky (pink).

- 3.5mm/size E-4 hook (or hook to obtain gauge)
- Stitch markers or clips
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
- Darning needle
- Giant eye darning needle (for the tinsel yarn)
- A sheet of plastic canvas mesh 5 or 6 count
- Zip in black 9"
- D rings in gunmetal black 25mm x2
- Chain purse strap in gunmetal black 40cm
EARLY RELEASE INFO - FYI this is an early release of my #CrochetingGlimmer pattern. I am pretty confident in this pattern. It is a goodie. It’s currently with testers and the full pattern update will be release don the 29th November.
